From 1pm until 6pm, the star-spangled Cromdale Hall comes to life with a flurry of excitement for this year’s Awakening Junior’s. Awash with dancing balloons, alive with flickering lights and buzzing with the music from the dedicated children’s ministry team – these are only some of the treats awaiting your children. ‘Fun Stations’, equipped with inflatable’s, face paints and crafts will delight your youngsters in addition to interactive teaching and lively worship. A ‘half-time’ snack will keep our Juniors happy and bouncing. A real feast of fun and fellowship beckons…
‘What to expect on event day?’
AwakeningUK has exclusive hire of the whole EICC complex on event day. So,
on arrival, attendees are greeted and registered in the expansive Strathblane
concourse. Here, you’ll find the exhibition space where you can browse
around the stands of AwakeningUK’s charity partners and learn about
their ministry and outreach work. This area also includes the AwakeningUK
merchandise area and café. Approaching 1pm, parents will be invited
to register their children downstairs at the Cromdale Hall for the Juniors’
Programme, before joining the other adults for the main programme in the
upstairs Pentland Auditorium. The theme for this year’s AwakeningUK
adults programme is submission - deepening our surrender to God. Tim LaHaye
will be leading teaching on 'The Holy Spirit and the will of God' and Beverly
LaHaye will be speaking on 'Surrendering and submitting more deeply to God'.
Although the EICC is used to its full potential, with separate areas for
children and adults alike, there is a relay system in place so that parents
can be contacted if their children need them. There will also be an interval
during the day’s programme with plenty opportunity to fellowship in
the Strathblane marketplace and café, and parents can enjoy a mid-way
reunion with their children. Because AwakeningUK exists to serve all Church
family, we are now excited to release our 08 Teens Ministry programme with
the fantastic John Nix from Memphis, USA. John is a highly renowned Youth
Pastor and will bring a dynamic and engaging message to this year’s
youth on fulfilling their 'vertical purpose' in God. This will be held in
the Strathblane concourse, at an appropriate point in the day, with free
doughnuts and diet cokes provided! The EICC not only provides a stunning
home for AwakeningUK, with matchless facilities, but it embraces the relaxed,
fellowship-friendly atmosphere that people have come to love about this
event. We’re very much looking forward to welcoming and serving you
all on event day…
